Read about the very short review of Christchurch over here. This will also be a short one as I have nothing much to blog about Christchurch cause the most thing we did over there was none other than SHOPPING. I bought most of my clothes in Christchurch at very very good bargain.

ps: It is so nice blogging and chatting while looking at really beautiful scenery over my room window. Me suka.

We got a very handsome driver. I do think he is cute. =P He drove us all the way to Christchurch. You cannot get a handsome driver in Malaysia I tell you. The face langsung not rusted okay? (read: rusted means berkarat, translate it to Hokkien. It means like gangster face)

We stopped by Lake Tekapo to have our lunch and took some pictures. It was fun.
More explanation or introduction alongside with the pictures ok?

Adverlets domain sudah expire lah

Aiya, Adverlets domain sudah expire. No wonder la I cannot open my own blog. Cis. Ah Leng taught me how to fix it. Kam Xia.

There is only one way you can save your own blog and that is by removing all Adverlets' advertisement. Log in from www.blogger.com and remove your advertisement. Then you can get your blog back.

Don't think of waiting for a few days and it'll be fine. It is not like friendster problem last time. Adverlets' domain sudah expire which is bad. I already untung RM3.40 there okay? *pouts* Heee. Luckily not RM34. *stares at Wah Keong koko and giggle*
______________________________________________________________

Eh, newly updated news. It is not expired. Just facing some redirecting problem. Not expired. Its expiry date is 2009 la. But still, to save it for now, delete your adverlets advertisement first.

Looking back at those days

I go blog hopping and realize many people put up what happened to them for the past one year in 2007. I also itchy hand want to type about mine la. I only posted my resolution, don't have this one. Hee.. A bit slow nevermind.

I had both ups and downs in the entire 2007. It would be rather freaky not to have a little of both side isn't it? I mean what's life if everything is in the right place. You will never know how to be grateful. And worst still if life is all about being sad and lonely. Man, life is not worth living if so. I had my down moments when I was being rather ridiculous to think about my existence in my friend's life. I too question about love and lots of other stuff.

I had a blast hanging out with Bentengs although Emmoes still stand very firmly in my heart. I played, studied and spent my entire Form6 life with them. I also went to my very first and the last Merentas Desa I'll ever get to attend in high school.

I passed my driving, unexpectedly, since I do not know how to change the gear. And I passed it at first time.

It was also the year I got so frustrated with someone that I shut him off completely from my life. I felt so cool then. Not anymore. =P I lost a friend in the process.

It was also the year I questioned about life and death due to the sudden passing of Xu Wei Lun. It made me cried thinking of my favourite uncle and my aunt.

It was also the year when Pak Maidin and Mr. Koay left the school. Such a big loss to the school. I only mention them cause I know the two of them. There are few other people who left school.

Completed my Hepatitis B jab in school. Hurt like mad. Ok, exaggerating.

My computer died on me. As in really die, no more computer.

I sat for my MUET and passed with a band 5, a result I can be proud of.

I finally blog a little more seriously whereby I blog more frequently compared to my other blogs that I blog like once in a month or something.

Almost got into a fight with Penang Bowl auntie for lousy service

Its also the year we went for serious house hunting activity.

Completely lost my temper to my friends

Had a blast during my birthday with lots of present despite not having a party to celebrate it.

Chased lots of artiste both in Penang and in KL. I am crazy, I know. Both local and overseas artiste. Took lots of pictures, bought lots of albums. There was even once when I chased artiste for like 3 weekends in a row.

Went KL with Yi Lin, her sis and my aunt.

Went in Redbox for the very first time. Up to date, I only went twice. Lol

Found our house.

Saw S.H.E for the first time and still loving Ella up to date.

Actually studied for all my exams which never happened before this

Did rebonding

Entau ba that I used to kap kena tangkap for selling or smuggling ecstasy pills

Bought the new house. Furnished it, bought furniture, do renovation.

Chased artiste while having STPM paper to face in two days' time.

Sat for STPM and got over it.

Went on a vacation to NZ for the very first time. Sitting on a plane, went to so many places.

Moved into new house.

Life in 2007 is good afterall. I love my life. =)

Penang-Singapore-Christchurch-Dunedin Part II

Well, my second sis is bored and she ask me to blog more. So I will add one more ok? Don't read until u become Swkanky's relative har?

Warning: You may realize there are some information in here that I have mentioned in earlier post titled "It is all about the toilets". I pre-write this and I wrote that last night, so it might be the same. =)

I reached Christchurch at about 10 a.m in the morning in New Zealand. That is about 5a.m in Penang. I was dead tired but I could not sleep. So basically I visited the toilets to find cool stuff over there. First is the towel of which we uses to wipe our hands. You just have to pull the towel till it is stuck at some point, wipe and it will automatically get rolled back into the big box for cleaning I suppose. It was so cool. Then I thought, if it were in Malaysia, I am sure it will break because people will pull and pull and pull although it is already stuck. (No offense Malaysian, we know ourselves.)

Then I went into the cubicle. Walao. Got a sanitary sterilizer machine over there where you can get some tissue, press some anti-bacteria liquid onto it and wipe your toilet seats!!! And then again, we Malaysian do not need it. Why? Because even if it is a seated toilet, Malaysians will stand on it. No point cleaning the seat when you are going to stand on it anyway.

Their sanitary bins are also automatic whereby you do not have to use your hand to open it, just put your hand around the sensor and it will automatically open. One thing though, their water are icy cold. And when I say icy cold, it means icy cold. Get a small bowl, put some ice and some water, wait for a while and put your hands in. It’s THAT cold. There are also hot water at some toilets. Their hot water is not boiling hot but close to boiling hot. Probably a boiling water put aside for 10 minutes? It’s THAT hot!! Crazy.

Christmas decorations at Christchurch Airport. There were very few people when I reached
When you get to NZ, you will understand why Westerners enjoy sun so much. The one spot I enjoy. Lovely christmas decorations.
More christmas decorations.
Me trying hard to be artistic and take artistic pictures. FAIL!

Trying hard again cause I was bored, tired and could not sleep.

It was summer in New Zealand. Summer means bikini, swimming, sun, hot weather. No? It feels like summer everyday in Malaysia therefore we should be able to get use to the weather pretty soon right? WRONG!!! Their summer is cold summer. Although there’s sun, when the wind blows, you will get aches at your back bone. You will feel the chilli-ness till your spine. I was sitting around, feeling bored as my mum fell asleep on the waiting area. Being the ‘adventurous’ me, I sashayed my way to the automatic sliding door, walked out of the airport and come running back like a wet chicken. VERY COLD CAN??? So much of being a summer day. That’s the end of my adventure at the airport. I sat there like a very good obedient girl and fell asleep.

I went for a chicken pie and a mug of hot chocolate in Christchurch Airport. The chicken pie tasted so-so but I love the hot chocolate. I was hungry because my breakfast on plane was sucky, I took only a bite. I was shivering as well, so I went to get some breakfast. The chicken pie cost us NZ$5 while the hot chocolate was NZ$5 as well for a big mug.

The chicken pie that made me vowed that I will not eat any more chicken pies in NZ.

The Hot Chocolate that made me went back for another mug before I left NZ. I love it.

We decided to check in our bags pretty early and hang around at the Airport. Around 3 o’clock, there are already many people over there at the arrival area, waiting for their family members. I see people hugging and playing around. It was then I noticed two suspicious people with cameras and microphone? First thing came to my mind, GOT ARTISTE???? I waited there eagerly on to find the two ‘artiste’ are someone I’ve never seen before. In fact, I don’t think they are artiste cause no one cheered or screamed when they saw them. We went to the waiting area early at about 4p.m. We left for Dunedin at 5p.m. Yes, we spend lots of time on the airport. 7 hours in Christchurch and 7 in Singapore.

The flight to Dunedin was a short one-an hour ride. We get to walk to the plane and climb the stairs!!! It was pretty chilly, so I ran to the plane instead and got my cap blown off, ran to get it and ran to the plane. Damn embarrassing I know. This time I get to sit by the window. We were served cookies and hot drinks. The view was mesmerizing. The beautiful preserved nature. It was a pretty place and definitely an ideal place for post-retire. I reached Dunedin at 5.50p.m and Pao came slightly after that. We were scheduled to reach at 6, that’s why. Met Lawrence- Pao’s church friend for the first time.

Penang-Singapore-Christchurch-Dunedin Part I

Lol, the long awaited post. I guess my friends stopped coming here to read about my trip. I am such a procrastinator. I manage to drag this until 2008 before posting. I am the Queen of all procrastinator. Muahahahhaaha. Siao.

Warning: Beware of long post ahead with pictures though. Scroll on to only see the pictures. I always write lengthy blog, that's my bad! I wish to have the ability to write less and still send my message across. My teacher even said I always beat around the bush. See, I am beating now. (piak piak)

It was a trip I never thought will come so soon. I even told my mum the day before that I do not want to go already because I was so nervous about taking the plane. You see, I have problem with heights. And I am glad I am not that tall. Else I’ll have fears everytime I stand up and walk. =P

I left Penang after having my breakfast at Nandos. We left at about 10a.m I guess. I went in at 9.30a.m. We passed the security successfully without having them to scan our body. We were very ‘clean’ ok? We did not bring anything illegal!!! Anyway, I was nervous to death before we enter the plane. The wait was unbearable. I was very jakun la. I dare not even play with my camera. When I got onto the plane, I what also off. Dare not on until I reach ok? Mana tau I on already the plane go crazy I ma mati.

So we waited for our turn to go in and soon we were on the plane. Oh man…. I took lots of sweets because sister asked me to. She said it was to prevent the pressure on my ears or something. I was nervous like mad. The plane took off and I had my first 11000km-above-sea-level meal. Some guy spilled his coffee on himself because of the earth quake-like flight. I could not stomach the roll given to me and kept it for dinner in Singapore.

Reached Singapore and mum and I decided to follow Pao’s advice to go for the few hour tour around Singapore. Also because the girl at the Information Counter told us die die also must go. We went to sign up for it and grab our lunch at one of the café in Changi Airport.

Our first meal in Singapore. Their food are mostly fast food. Also because we didn't know there's another floor of oriental delicacies lar. =P

At about 2 we left for the three hour trip around Singapore. It was an eye opener. Besides, ITS FREE!!!! We went to a few places in Singapore and even got to sit on a boat. We went to see the Merlion and I took some pictures of the statue around the place. It is the same place with the same statue that I believe Tammi once took with. I WANT TO GO SINGAPORE!!!!!

Too many people. Did not take a pic with this statue.

The boat we sat on to go around that area.

Christmas Decorations in one of the malls in Singapore.

The Merlion. I was scared though. I would die if I see it alive. I mean..a lion head and a mermaid body. O.o

The statue that caught my attention. iSuka.

We got back to the airport at 5p.m. Our flight was scheduled at 6.50p.m. Therefore we went to get our gate number from the Information Counter and walk around for a while. We did the scratch-color thing. I do not know what it is but we had fun. Mum’s artwork damn cun. Compared to mine. =P I took some pictures with the Christmas decoration over there. We assembled at the gate pretty early. First time, memang a bit jakun one. Besides, we got nowhere to go. No doubt Changi Airport is the biggest and grandest of the 4 airport I went on my trip. But we were too scared to get lost there. Oh yea, and I bought a magazine and a bottle of Made In Malaysia mineral water. No choice, cheapest already. =P

So many designs to choose from.

Mummy's

Mine
My C- artwork. =P

We board on the plane and left for the 10 hours ride to Christchurch. It was scary. 10 hours is blardy a lot!!! Such a pain in the ass experience. I watched some shows but nothing caught my attention cause I was tired but could not sleep. I also went to the toilet for the first time. For the first time, its 11000km above sea level. Takut!!!! And also, I buat malu over there. I stood in front of the toilets, asking the air stewardess where the washrooms are. Like I know all those closet-like cabinets are toilets!!!

To be continued!!

It is all about the toilets

Toilet is the one of the things that I pay more attention to when I go to a place. Where ever I go, I check out the toilet. Even my sister got shocked when the first thing I asked about when she went to her boyfriend's uncle place was whether the toilet was grand enough. So when I went to Singapore and New Zealand, I did my 'job' pretty well. I checked out all the toilets, compare them to ours and then try to figure out if the same thing can work out well in Malaysia. Sad to say, I managed to come up with all sorts of negative situations if and only if what they are doing is being practiced here in Malaysia.

In Malaysia, things are so sad that at some places, their toilets are not complete with toilet papers. Take Queensbay Mall's toilet for example, they only supply toilet papers at the entrance of the toilet and not in the cubicle itself. Why you may ask. I guess it is probably easier to maintain and less mess by kids who will waste toilet papers in the toilet. I couldn't think of any other reasonable excuses of why they do not supply toilet papers in cubicle.

One thing I found in the toilets in Singapore or New Zealand, I am not sure, was this.

This is one thing Malaysian can save on. We don't need this nor do we need the toilet seat cover paper (read: I don't know what you call it but you can dispose it after sitting on it). You know why? Because Malaysia do not have a toilet bowl where you sit on it. To be exact, Malaysians do not know the existence of seated toilet bowl. They squat on every toilet bowl, be it a high one or a low one. The high one will go up to probably at about the height of half your calves while you are standing and they still managed to climb on top of it to make business, leaving their shoe prints all over it. Can save money, must save. -.-

Apart from that, I found out that some of our toilets do not have the hand soap in liquid form anymore. Poor maintenance I shall say. At the beginning, the toilets are usually pretty clean with every thing complete in position. Soon after that, things go missing and got lessen. Always happen in Malaysia.

There's one of the things I find rather cool in NZ toilets are the tissue papers actually. There's one without tissue but cloth. No, its not the one with someone to greet you and pass you a cloth to wipe your hands. Its just a machine where you pull the cloth until it got stuck at certain point and wipe your hands. Then the cloth will get rolled into the machine and another person will pull out another part of that one long piece of cloth to wipe their hands. I don't know if you understand though. =P

In NZ, things are pretty funny. They have very very icy cold water coming out from their tap. If you do not know how cold it is, go get a small bowl, put some ice and water and wait for the ice to melt, then put your hands in. It is THAT cold. When you are new there, I am sure you will be so happy to find a tap producing hot water as you cannot tolerate their not hot summer. WRONG!! Because their hot water is not as hot as boiling water but boiling water left to cool for like 5 to 10 minutes. If you put your hands under the tap for too long, you probably get a cooked hand in return. And in Malaysia, the hand dryer gave out hot air right? In NZ, when the wind blew cool breeze that sends chills to your spine, their hand dryer gave out cool air lo.

The summer in NZ is not a summer at all. Think of being able to tolerate the weather as it was summer and most likely be somewhat like Malaysia, WRONG!!! Their summer, a bit also not hot lo. Their summer is like 10 degrees at night. What summer la?

One thing that happens everywhere though is the vandalism.

Only thing is that they are better over there in NZ as they do not write vulgar words or give out gays' numbers on the door. =P

School reopen already.

And ITS NONE OF MY BUSINESS!!!!!!!!!!!Wakakkaka... I love my bed. I love to sleep until 9 in the morning. I don't like to wake at 6.15a.m. =) I am a happy girl. I am officially out of high school, whether I like it or not. My grandma was asking me if I need to go back to school. I told her that if I go back, I will probably get halau-ed. =) But I will most probably be working next week. So no more 9 a.m wake up for me. Maybe a little early like 8.30a.m.

What I miss about school is the back to school shopping and of course, my friends. No longer get to go to school and see them in uniforms. Some of my friends, I probably won't see them anymore. Not so close one though. My sis and I were talking about what we used to do when we were young. She was busy selling those cards where you can order and print your details on it to pass it to your friends, like business cards. She was also busy selling stickers to her friends. Walao. So young know how to earn money. The boyfriend lagi keng. He used to sell those little cards where you have to tear it to see whether you win some money or not. 10 cents per piece. And out of like 100 pieces, only one or two with the winning prize, untung right?

Unfortunately for me, I can only remember myself playing and eating la. I couldn't remember anything else. I happy-go-lucky one. Never go earn money. Just go makan and main only. No wonder so bulat now. I can remember vividly what we used to eat. We used to eat one tiny plate of rice with fried chicken wings during recess time. Then we will get some fruits or ice-cream or even order fresh juices from the canteen aunty which cost us RM0.80 that time. It was pretty expensive though. But it was counted as the high class drinks. We will ask the aunty to prepare before we come down from recess and then enjoy the expensive high class drink.

We will eat lime ice-cream with salt sprinkled on it, we will eat keropok bought from an indian stall behind our school. On Saturdays, mum will bring me to have fried bee hoon or koay teow th'ng at the coffee stall behind our school. Oh those days. Those days when I was a prefect. We play all sorts of games while waiting for school bus. Those days when I slept in the bus on the way back and only got back to my house when the bus passes my house the second time. Those days when I got bruises on the side of my eyes and realized it was because I fell asleep and keep bumping my own face onto the reel of the window. Those funny funny things I used to do. I do miss primary school.

And about secondary school, we spend our time doing lots of stuff and I will miss it. Those camps, those outings, those hotel stays, those canteen time. I miss everything but thank god I am still mixing with my high school buddies. =) Up till today, we can still gossip. Ha-ha. Gossip keeps friendship alive. No?

I am officially not a line curi-er

Streamyx damn efficient lor. I went to fix it on Wednesday and on Friday, I am connected!!!! And my new computer is currently being fixed by my sis's bf. I feel so complete now. =P I miss onlining without having to worry when Ah Keo or LazyPao will offline. They have saved me from being bored to death. I wonder who is ah Keo and who is LazyPao.. Such a good person who helped me when I was in need, er... without knowing that they did though.

Please do not sue me if you read this post. I really need to online those days. Now that Streamyx is ok, I think my Astro is coming also. Everything come at once. So busy. =P I want see Lin Yu Zhong on AEC!!!!!

ps: I've written some blog post beforehand about the trip. Will post them up soon. Very very soon. =)

Teruk.

Was shocked. I never had a plate of rice that cost me RM5 in a coffee shop. Even if I did, it was usually damn worth it because I'll be sharing with my sister. I was really shocked to find out my plate of rice cost me RM5 which I did not have to pay but still. RM5 leh... Eat until heart pain la. Each bite is so painful. Luckily the other food my aunt order cost almost as much, so mine kira the most worth it already. Or else, I'll probably get so sad, every chew is like chewing my own heart.

____________________________________________________________

Anyway, had the most fun with you guys who came to my house for house warming. I am sorry I could not invite everyone because it will be very hard to layan everyone. So I only call those who are both from my school and are my clique. Then I can let them mingle around while I go serve other people or help out my sisters. =) Thank you for all the wishes though.

Visit http://www.themanni-queen.blogspot.com/ for nice dresses.
